For the past couple/few weeks, I’ve had the same song in my head whenever I come into the office and sit at my desk: Kids In America, by Kim Wilde. As it happens, I was a teenager when the song was released; so I was a ‘kid in America’.
For the past few days Mrs. Cretin has been tortured by Bobby Vee’s “The Night Has A Thousand Eyes.” I know because she keeps complaining about it. I tried to help out by singing the “angels came” line from Honey, but it didn’t take.
I could administer the sure-fire antidote: “Second verse, same as the first!” but the cure might be worse than the ailment.
