'02 Olds Alero V6 - Spark Plugs, how to reach

Let us end this question  Here is the best write up for a non-technical person. The best it gets. There is no need to move the engine anywhere!!!

Pre: Tools needed… 5/8" deep socket for the spark plugs, 10mm wrench or socket, 13mm wrench or socket… here is everything I used to complete the job.

  1. Swap the plugs in the front of the engine because they are there. Twist and pull to get the spark plug wires off.

  1. Disconnect this connection that is attached to the electronic distributor thing…

  1. Use a 10mm wrench or socket to take out the top two bolts holding the distributor thing on.

  1. Use a 13 mm wrench or socket to take off the bottom two nuts holding the distributor thing on.

  1. Move the distributor thing up and flip it over to the side to expose the other 3 spark plugs.

  2. replace plugs the same way as the front. Twist and pull to get the spark plug wires off.

  1. To put it back together reverse the steps! DONE and DONE! No moving the engine

I would hope he’s taken care of it in the past 2 years.
