"10 out of 10 Terrorists Agree: Anybody But Bush"

That’s a bumper sticker I saw today. You have to admit, he’s got good PR people.

Actually I am not so sure about that, but that’s a whole debate of its own.

kellner sure about which part? That he has good PR or that 10/10 terrorists agree?

Because I don’t believe the terrorists want Bush gone. He has fullfilled their greatest fantasy. A chance to destroy the Satan. An opportunity to kill Americans without coming here to do it.

Yeah, what was it, 70 virgins in the afterlife? Shit, I’d get myself blown up for that, too.

Re-elect Bush! He makes your dreams come true!

That the terrorists agree.

I thought I read something a few months ago where some reasonably high-level al Qaeda person said that Bush was the best thing that had ever happened to them, at least with respect to recruiting.

I know that this isn’t GQ, but if you could provide a cite for that statement, then I’ll kiss the ground you walk on. I’ve been looking for a quote like that for some time now.

Unfortunately, I don’t remember where I read it… I think it was shortly after the Madrid bombings, though. I’ll try to find something, but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to. Hopefully I didn’t just dream it…

And Baghdad Bob insisted that the Coalition forces were nowhere near KABOOM!!

Assuming for the moment there’s any truth to this, then “terrorists” are apparently endorsing Kerry. Now I think we can safely assume that the leadership of al Qaeda realizes it doesn’t have a wide base of popular support amongst American voters. So by endorsing Kerry, they’re going to hurt his chances of getting elected and help Bush’s chances get elected (this is why you don’t see the KKK or NAMBLA endorse the candidates they prefer). So if terrorists really are openly endorsing Kerry who do you think they actually want to see win the election?

The quote:

Yes, I know FOX News is held in low regard here, but the story was carried by many other sources as well – and I’d love to quote directly from the newspaper where the statement is supposed to have originally appeared, but it’s all in Arabic. Abu Hafs claims to have ties with al Qaeda, though the US government disputes the group’s credibility.

SPOOFE, without making reference to Abu Nidal or payments to people who’ve had their houses bulldozed, how did Bob or the rest of the old Iraqi regime have anything to do with terrorists?

Anyway, I think a skewed sample might be required for unanimity. It certainly wouldn’t be 10 for 10 if it includes assassins of abortion clinic staff or Aryan Nation types. However, even among the swarthy types we’re focussing on, Kerry won’t provide as good an environment for recruitment as Bush does.

Bush refered to fighting terrorists after September 11 as “our crusade”, which probably causes members of al Qaeda to ejaculate in their trousers.

It’s a funny thing about slogans – the old ones disappear.

Why aren’t Republicans trotting out “Don’t Elect a Draft Dodger” this year? Oh, I forgot – VP Dick Cheney has 5 draft exemptions, starting in 1964. And then there’s the matter of the President’s noble service in Texas and Carolina officers’ clubs.

Perhaps you also noticed that “WWJD?” dried up before the start of the Iraq war.

Yo…Otto Check out this thread and see if there’s a cite you can use. Maybe, maybe not, I didn’t check them out for ya but it looks kinda promising. I may even dig a bit more into this myself. g~luck t/k

I don’t get that whole 70 virgins thing. I mean really - who wants to go through the ordeal of blowing themselves up, just to have to train a bunch of newbies from the ground up?

Now, promise me 70 women with some experience, and we’ll talk…

In my book, enthisiasm and sufficient time will make up for any experience issues, and I have eternity to train them.

Fuse and matches, please.

KABOOM!

Lesson one… that’s okay for a first try, babe, but work on this here banana. Next!

Not to mention that Osama got a free pass, as Bush redirected all the effort to Iraq. Kerry might even want to catch the guy, unlike our present misleader.

Did I say that they did? So sorry to give that implication.

The problem being, if we don’t reelect Bush, the terrorists win.
