I love that about baseball. When I am driving somewhere far and I can only listen to the radio, baseball is always my pick over football. It makes more sense and you definitely understand what is going on.

Eh. I agree but its the pacing of the game that lends itself to radio where football is more perfectly suited to television. Along with the way the field looks as well.

This list is stupid. Both sports are great in their own right and neither is better than the other. They are just different.

A kinder way to look at it would be that in his twilight years he matured and gained perspective. The documentary played the radio interview in which he “explained” what he really meant. He didn’t make a very convincing case and his supposed miswording didn’t make a whole lot of sense.

Agreed.

However I gotta disagree on his changing his mind in his ‘twilight’ years; he was only 57 when he died of cancer. One of his players (Jerry Cramer, I think it was) said he still had his steel will even through that. He said Lombardi seemed astounded that he could not defeat the disease by sheer strength of will.

Come on, football having cheerleaders is a reason that baseball is better? Are you on drugs?

My objection to football cheerleaders on TV is the fact that in the NFL they almost never show them on TV, and when they do, the networks just frustrate the viewer by plastering corporate advertising over the top of them.
