100th Anniversary of Cross-Channel Flight

OK, I missed by a few weeks…on JUly 25, 1909, Louis Bleriot sucessfully flew from France to England. I was just glancing at a few photos of this famous event, and it struck me: look how far we have come in 100 years! Is there any reason why our techical innovation won’t continue at this pace?
I only wish I could be around to see the next 100 years in aviation!
By the way, isn’t Bleriot’s grandson going to attempt the same flight? How is he doing?

“How is he doing?” How wide do you think the Channel is?! They did it on the day. The grandson wasn’t flying himself, he just watched. And the flight by the Swede in an original plane happened the next day instead.
