Then, when folks mock that over-reaction, they made layer it on for hyperbole effect: “111oneeeeleventy11!!!”

Another meme that’s starting to really annoy me is people complaining about internet memes. Maybe I should start a pit thread complaining about that.

I wonder if one reason "1"s are mixed with "!"s is due to poor eyesight. I have a friend in that category, and he regularly uses “,” instead of “…” as an elipsis since he can’t tell the difference on the screen or on the keyboard.
I guess I “get” it, but I can’t share the outrage because I don’t think I’ve seen anyone use it prior to this thread. Is this really a widespread phenomenon?

Those are just the first few results that came up in a Google search for “eleventy,” because that’s easier to search for than “!!1111one11!!” which is actually a lot more common.
I’m not really that exercised about this but I do have to question whether those of you saying that you have never, ever seen this before are participating on the same Internet I am.

I find use of “!!!11!!one!1” VASTLY preferable to seemingly RANDOM use of CAPITALIZATIONS in posts by people who CANNOT seem to MASTER the use of italics or otherwise EMPHASIZE certain points that are just unbelievably IMPORTANT, without the goddamned CAPS.
I’m not sure if I’ve used those here - maybe - but if I do, it’s my way of saying some variant of, “You’re a whiny fucking retard.”
