Since your beef is with taxes, then let me go on the record and say that no, I don’t think we’re being taxed to death. My taxes still allow me to live comfortably. In fact, for more social services (and elimination of others), I would agree to MORE taxes. In fact, in the past few elections, I have voted for more taxes. That’s not because I think I’m more patriotic for paying taxes (fuck patriotism, emotional connection to a border on a map or a culture that I don’t share means nothing to me), I just believe that making everyone suffer through not paying isn’t the best way to reform anything
