Teen gets 50 years for hitting jogger on purpose

Unusually harsh sentence, but in this case, I have to agree with the judge.

You may remember the defendant, Daniel Lee Robbins, from such Pit threads as Wannabe-necrophile teen runs down jogger. (the thread’s a year old, so please don’t post to it) Seems the charming Mr. Robbins wanted to kill a random stranger in order to have sex with her corpse and eat it. The victim, Ms. Patty Emanuel, fortunately survived the attack, and though she suffered multiple injuries, appears to have made a good recovery.

With any luck, we won’t be hearing from Daniel for a very, very long time.

How the heck did miss this story the first time?

The ‘Heartland of America,’ no less. How gruesome.

Gaaak!! I missed this story the first time, too! Yeah, I don’t think 50 years is too harsh. I hope there’s some good psychiatric help in there, too, because this kid has serious issues!

No, I am not impressed by the science of psychology.

On the face of it, and not knowing all the facts, looks like this one need some long-term residency in the Greystone Hotel.
