$18 per wiper blade?!

I’ve seen the ads for the Rain-x Latitude which apparently will revolutionize how I see bad weather. The $17.99 per blade plus S&H has me a little bugged out thought.

Could it be worth it?

Don’t know about the Rain-X blades, we sell Bosch Icon at my store. IMHO if you change your blades every six months and clean the glass just using the standard blades should be fine.

Using a windshield “treatment” like Rain-X does help.

It could be worse. My car’s wiper blades are a non-standard size and one replacement blade costs $38.

The other one costs $37.

It hurts on a very fundamental level.

Ya know, I’ve kept cars as long as five years, and I’m pretty sure I’ve never had a wiper blade changed in my life.

I always keep a good slathering of Rain-X on the windshield, though…

I made the mistake of replacing the wiper cartride on Toyota. Primarily because it was really easy to replace (didn’t know that Toyota Service would put in the blades for you, no charge), and they were pretty cheap.

However they have doubled in price every year since and they do not make replacement blades for the replacement cartridge. Meaning I now have to by replacement cartridges when the blades go bad, which is every friggen year. Irony.

Yeah, it would pain me that the amounts are different too. What kind of car is it, if you don’t mind saying?
