1981 answer concerning execution by electrocution

Cecil indicated he could not think of anyone offhand who had survived electrocution.

Willie Francis surived in 1946 and after an appeal about the fairness of executing someone twice, was taken to the electric chair again a year later. This time it worked and he was executed. His comments on it indicated it made his mouth taste like cold peanut butter and he felt burning in his leg and head where the electrodes were attached.

What a thing that would be, having to go through it twice knowing what would happen the second time?

James
