This is a vehicle that belongs to a woman I known named Maureen (not her real Name). I’ve already driven it–in fact I drove to a remote area in San Bernardino last May, and just before a grade crossing the car hit a pothole and the forward drive conked out. We had to have the car towed back, about 75 miles.
Now–the car’s transmission ha to rbe repaired and it had to pass the state Smog Test–its battery is weak–so weak, apparently, that I had tio jumop-start it qwhen I want6ed to drive it yesterday and todAy (Thursday)./
My questuion is: Theinstrument (panel) lights didn’t go on at all! Is this just a symptom of a loew battery, or one that won’t hold a charge? Maureen thinks the trouble is with the alternatior.
