Derleth Thank you for turning me on to Parking Lot. I’m in the midst of reading the archives. It’s Far Side meets Kafka and Beckett. Some of the strips have the most biting, yet subtle, social satire I’ve ever seen.
Hehe. Reading it with that slant makes it actually funny!
Ah, yes, Tuesday. Well, first Rex breaks out of Arkham with the help of Pogo. Then, while fleeing from Dick Tracy and Spiderman, he hides out with Lion-O from the Thundercats. But then Pippi Longstockings appears riding a giant clam, and Rex falls head over heels in love. Pippi rejects his wooing for she is betrothed to the King of the Snorks. Unfortunaltly, Gargamel steals her in an attempt to capture more Smurfs, with the help of his new henchman, Martin Van Buren. Pippi is locked away in the Tower of Sorrow guarded by rabid My Little Ponies and a hypnotized Rainbow Brite. Strawberry Shortcake gives Rex some Silver Slippers he can use to fly over the rabid My Little Ponies, but the Darth Vader appears and says he is Rex’s father. Rex is paralysed in shock, when the last panel shows that Sonny has gone Coo-Coo for Coco Pops again and is about to attack Rex for the CoCo Pops in his pocket!

Whoa, no offense pk but I always thought you were a teenager. Never would have guessed in a million years that you were retired.
