My new expression for “the whole thing” is “From Atlantis to Zion.”

I once had a Jews for Jesus spokesperson tell me that “all of the things that God says to do in the Old Testament are impossible. They are just there to prove that no man (sic) can live up to God’s standards.”

Which must come as a total shock to modern day Jewish people.

I saw a Jehovah’s Witnesses tract once that convincingly refuted evolution with this ironclad argument. (I quote here from memory, so not quite exact, but the tone is about right.)

“Have you ever seen a bird turn into a fish, or a fish turn into a bird? Of course not! Nobody has ever seen such a thing!”

This guy’s proofs are right up there with that. QED!

Sure we have, it just takes time:
-bird eats fish
-bird digests fish
-energy builds bird muscle/bones/organs
-fish becomes bird, circle of life*

*Mostly. Some fish becomes bird poop. Circle of sewage.
