GAH! After last night’s show, I really want to change my order, but oh well. It’ll be fun to see what happens!
Funny. I am doing two different “Fun Office Pools” American Idol prediction games, and apparently I didn’t save my picks in Cecil’s pool, and I did much better using the default picks than I did in the one where I threw all my points on Andrew (and got both bonus questions wrong).
I am sucking this year. Of course it doesn’t help much that I’m not really watching the show. 
Ok, couple of things…
First off, finger wags to Rachael Rage and FILB for missing the deadline. That said, barring anyone raising extreme objection, I have no problem with having you two on the score sheet. It’s just a silly little game, and while yes, rules are rules, the first six words of this sentence take precedence for me. Unless, of course, one of you two end up beating me. Then we can always retroactively declare you ineligible.
Which brings me to my second point. Neener neener, I had Lacey picked to be booted first*! Zero points for me! 
Kudos as well to fellow Lacey-pickers It’s Not Rocket Surgery!, Drain Bead and RachelChristine. On the other end of the spectrum, we can all give insincere “aww man, sorry to hear that” looks to infinitii, who picked our dear departed make-up queen to finish in fourth place, tagging him with eight points out of the gate. Ouch.
*I just wish I had followed my own advice and put points on her in the other pool as well…
Ouch! But yeah, things are looking pretty grim for me. And for the other pool as well. Ah well.

Go me! I think I could be right about NeckTat going next week too, but I know my whole list will fall apart sooner or later.

Ok, since they used the save on Michael, we’re falling back on the Idol Gives Back double-elimination rule from last time. Basically, everything stays the same this week; and from a scoring standpoint, both people eliminated next week will be considered as having been eliminated in 8th place.
Hmm. Apparently it’s Elvis week next week? As I recall that was the death knell for Chris Daughtry and is generally a terrible mess of cheesy performances. Should be fun!
Hmm…does anyone see an update when they go to the scoring sheet? Pleo gave me access to the document, which I updated and saved, but when I go back to it the changes aren’t there. Odd…
Oh, and Tim’s resurgence is fricking killing me here.
I see an update, but it’s wrong. It’s giving us all our points as if Tim was kicked off instead of Katie. I mean, I’m still winning and all, but I’d probably have a better lead if it was correct. 
Ohhh, I get it – it takes a couple of minutes for the changes to be displayed. And the whole Tim-instead-of-Katie thing was just a glitch.
For purposes of this thread, “glitch” will be defined as “Hal fucked up”.

And I see I’m still at the bottom. At least I’m doing okay in the weekly game.
Even though I’m in second, it’s physically impossible for me to catch Rachel Christine. She outscores me in all scenarios.
We could both lose, but she’d still finish ahead of me. If this was politics I’d be giving my concession speech.
I’m not doing too badly- but it looks like my Lee pick (7th, tied for the lowest of anyone) might sink me along with my Aaron pick (10th, but almost everyone thought he’d be gone by now).
Too bad I wasn’t as adventurous as Rachel Christine on the Tim Urban front. I think he’ll probably last another couple weeks too.
I’m intrigued by my choice of Casey James as 2nd. It doesn’t look like that’s the trajectory right now (he’s looking like 4th or 5th), but he still hasn’t showed up in the bottom group, so it’s tough to know…
Well I feel like it’s possible I could do good for another week or two, but I have never understood why I picked Big Mike to win. I’m gonna crumble soon, but it feels so awesome to be top of the pack!
I just checked the spreadsheet and was a little surprised to see that the season is over and Lee DeWyze won! Wow! I thought they had a few weeks to go but I guess they saw the plummeting ratings and just figured they’d get things over with.
Tied for 12th place, I guess it’s karma for submitting my list late. 
Man, that spreadsheet is unforgiving – I played around with it last week, running tests to see if I could come out on top nailed it the rest of the season (I can’t), and even though I was very careful not to save it, it looks like it automatically saves it anyway. Sheesh!
Anyway, the revised and updated version is up now. And by “now”, I likely mean “five minutes from now, when it refreshes again”.
