I am getting irked by the FIFA going across the screen every 10 seconds or so.
Not really, for while lacking superstars the US team is no pushover. They did beat us while ranked #1 in the World just last year at The Confed Cup.
In short, it’ll be competitive.
The problem with us is we lack consistency. The England team is like our weather - you really can’t say what it’ll be like with much certainty from one day to the next. The US couldn’t beat top form English team, and they could nock a couple of goals up against a lackluster one; it’s just a matter of which team has showed up today.

Or was it three and a half minutes? I was watching on a very small and distant TV screen. The stats say it was the fourth min.

FIFA really have stamped their brand on this World Cup like never before. Must be a condition of TV rights that you mention FIFA at every opportunity. In my day it was just “the World Cup”. FIFA were merely the pen-pushers who decided things like what colour the corner flags were.
this is a battle, though. It’s a good game, IMO.
Our defence, at the moment, is our weak point, so expect a lot of midfield clashes.
