2013 Town and Country, 16k miles. Starting is difficult, needing many cranks, and has a rough idle, sometimes stalling at idle. It consistently throws P00345, P00390, P00340, P00300, P00365 codes, all of which are related to “Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit” A and B, banks 1 and 2. We have replaced both of these sensors, as well as the sparkplugs, but none of that has helped.
Codes P0017, 0018, and 0019 also come and go. (These are “Crankshaft Position - Camshaft Position Correlation”.)
What would you folks suggest looking into next?
Also, could this type of issue be covered under warranty?
wiring and connectors. There’s a reason the text for the code says “Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit”, the PCM doesn’t know if the fault is in the sensors, wiring, connections, or even itself. The fact that it’s complaining about both sensors in both cylinder banks is pretty clear that the sensors themselves probably aren’t the problem. The likelihood of all four sensors failing at the same time is incredibly low.
not to be too rude about it, but why didn’t you investigate this first before shot-gunning parts onto the car? It may be warrantable depending on whether it’s covered under the bumper-to-bumper 3/36 or if it’s considered an emissions-related part, the 5/80.
Yeah, this thought crossed my mind. So is there any component you think is likely that could be common to all these other guys that would cause these codes? As a matter of fact, the dash is also showing the traction control indicator light … could it be the PCM itself?
Honestly, the idea of warranty only occurred to me after the fact.
I understand that people do what they are comfortable with, and you might be comfortable posting on this message board/forum, but don’t you think you might have better luck posting on a forum that specific to your vehicle? The chances of you being the first with your specific problem is low, so you may come across a solution that already exists.

the only other thing is if the cam phasers were acting up, but like the sensors I can’t see all four failing at once. except maybe if they were starved of oil supply.
I tried that first, on a chrysler minivan board, and didn’t get much in the way of replies. I’ve already received more on this thread in two hours than I did there in two days.
