2015-16 Barclays Premier League Thread

Which is hardly an unfamiliar tie in that competition. People are already writing the Gunners off. Which I can understand, to be fair. But, if we’ve got our shit together, we could do it. I concede that’s a pretty big “if.” A side that can weather the Messineymarsuárez storm faces a backfield that is not always all that steady, and I think the Gunners can manage Alves and Iniesta. It’s a long shot, regardless.

In other news, Chelsea and Mourwinher have drawn PSG; Manchester City will face racist fanless Dynamo Kiev.

In the Europa League, the Danish powerhouse Midtjylland have drawn some other team from Manchester.

Making a point of referring to the ‘foreigner’ aspect of it. Why are billionaire foreigners any worse than billionaire Englishmen? As a Newcastle fan, give me a foreigner owner please ;).

Vote Labour and rid ourselves of all the owners, domestic and otherwise.

Ok…I get it. My point was that the Bundesliga dont allow any billionaire to gain a majority interest in any team. And they have financial responsibility rules Soccer: The success of Germany's Bundesliga - ESPN . So there are no Man Citys or Chelseas in the Bundesliga yet they still manage to develop some of the worlds best players and reclaim others.

Depends on which Arsenal side shows up. If Arsenal who beat Munich show up, then Messi Suarz Neymar are in trouble. If Arsenal which lost to Bayern show up…

Come on Reds!!! Make these Danes famous. You can do it!

Barcelona aren’t really that “on” this season. We just tied our two last matches.

Of course Arsenal won’t have Coquelin ready. Or Cazorla. But mostly the problem is facing Barcelona with just Flamini. Unless, of course, Wenger invests big time in the winter market. Said he, sarcastically.

The Midgies have already taken out Southampton in this tourney and while the Saints have obviously struggles this season, the difference in quality between them and United is not mountainous.

You already got your Christmas present!

Is this actually a Labour proposal? How would it work?

Not exactly. I think Labour has a proposal that supporters’ groups must be given a chance to purchase whenever 10% or more of a club is sold, or some such.

Basically, I share the German philosophy that sports would be a better world if the fans owned the clubs. Even while knowing that two of the biggest supporter-owned clubs in the world have figured out how to cheat the system as well as any single owner could have.

A nice easy run of games I thought… I should know better.

Although I’m obviously not a fan of your lot, I’d love to see The Woolwich give them a hiding, the last time I remember them playing each other the red card for Van Persie was one of the worst refereeing decisions I’ve ever seen.

When Eddie Cavanagh is the most famous person you’ve ever had on the pitch for you, you need to realise your place in football:D

Looks like Leicester is the new Barcelona

Order is restored and after relegation threatened Bournemouth and Newcastle beat top five teams the top of the league club has put Chelsea in their place.

Claudio Raineri. Former Chelsea coach. The man Jose replaced back in 2004. Must be sweet.

Lehmans sending off in the 2006 final was pretty bad as well. As was the 2009 Semi Final against Chelsea. I remember Pep ( a decent chap) being quite embarrassed both times. Barca get lots of ref love.

Wasnt the ref names Oviedo although he called himself Norwegian? It really smelled of a fix.

I didn’t see much wrong with Lehman’s red card. I was spitting feathers in 2009 with the Chelsea game; two absolutely definate penalties and two other “I’ve seen them given” penalties denied. They might as well been playing the Harlem Globetrotters, not only because of the use of hands, but it seemed like the result had already been decided. And who was sitting with the Barcelona top brass and celebrating their last minute equaliser that put them through? Yep, Michel Platini, at the time an honourary VP at Barcelona.

That’s one porno flick I won’t be watching…

Mourinho just axed at Chelski.
