The Pacers won Game 4 to move within one win of their second NBA Finals in franchise history.
Tyrese Haliburton became the first NBA player ever to record 30 points, 10 rebounds, and 15 assists with no turnovers.
Game 5 will be back in New York on Thursday.
Oklahoma blows out Minnesota from the opening quarter. 30 point romp. 124-94. OKC on to the finals.
What an embarrassment. Nice to see a young bench player (Shannon) making a name for himself, though. They could put him in the starting lineup and bench Conley, who is next to useless.
I tuned in at the beginning and saw MIN had 11 points while OKC had twenty something. I figured MIN probably didn’t have the motivation to mount any type of comeback attempt after that and tuned out.
Knicks lead the Pacers by 11 at halftime. Pacers haven’t led yet this game.
111-94 Knicks. They kept their poise, never let the Pacers close the gap in the 2nd half. A solid game - after all the dramatic comebacks and folds the Knicks have been involved in these playoffs.
Pacers win Game 6 and advance to our first NBA Finals in 25 years!
Thunder are looking like a hell of a hill to climb, though.
Yeah, if the Pacers don’t find a way to steal at least Game 1 or 2 on the road to start the series, it’s going to look pretty grim.
This are probably the two most fun teams currently in the NBA, it should be a joy to watch. I do expect OKC to deliver a shellacking though.
Holy shit.
The Knicks fired their coach.
Thibodeau’s style of coaching is just not very popular or effective, yet he keeps getting jobs. I assume Michael Malone will replace him.
The Pacers committed 19 turnovers in the first half of Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
We were down by 15 in the fourth quarter.
But WHAT THE HALI?!
THE PACERS DID IT AGAIN.
Thunder getting Celtic’d.
The Thunder had more free throws, 18 LESS turn overs, 15 more shots at the rim, less fouls and had a 15 point lead in the 4th. Still lost.
Pacers take a 2-1 series lead.
I miss the courts of the 2000-2008 era, where there would be a giant Larry O’Brien trophy decal at mid-court and the “The Finals” calligraphy on the court. Now the NBA Finals court has nothing to indicate to a casual observer that it’s the Finals.
Ah, I heard they CGI’d a trophy on the court for TV. No?
In what could be a devastating and potentially championship-losing development, Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Halliburton has been diagnosed with a calf strain. An MRI will be performed shortly.
Indiana won game 6 handily. A team effort, especially from their bench (high scorer was Toppin). OKC committed a lot of turnovers.
Halliburton played. He wasn’t his usual self, but he was effective.
Game 7 should be fun. It will be in Oklahoma City.
Haliburton played better than he has in several of his worst playoff games. He hit a couple of long threes and that floater shot of his, and had a spectacular no-look pass for a Siakam breakaway dunk.
The Pacers are now closer to an NBA championship than they have ever been. When we played the Lakers in the 2000 NBA Finals, we only took them to six.
15 down. One to go.
I BELIEVE.
You never say a team takes a game off, especially in the playoffs, but you wonder how much the OKC wanting to win the championship in KC, in front of OKC fans, plays into their heads.
