O mighty and fragrant Death Shroom, @phungi : Is it possible to have one of my Olde Tymers subbed out, as he went to the Great Dugout in the Sky before the New Year was rung. I’m hoping we can put Enoli Paredes in the place of Larry Miggins .
(I’ve never had someone croak between submitting my list and the end of the year before, are we allowed to move our alts into the main list after Jan. 1? Or am I just SOL?)
That’s the point of Alts. I had someone die on 12/29 but it wasn’t reported until 12/31 but I posted on 12/30 and found out about it on 1/1. I’m sure the Death Shroom elevated my alternate into the main list. Since Enoli is your first alternate, he would be elevated.

This isn’t my thread, it’s run by phungi , but that’s how I do it. I think I had one like that this year.
My worry was that my dude died on Dec. 12, but I didn’t notice until now. I had time to swap him out before the end of the year. Hopefully the Death Shroom, mighty and fragrant, will have mercy on me, lazy sinner that I am.

*The only one in my pool, darn it. Could have retired this year’s contest in one fell swoop.
That would have been impressive, but were is the fun in that for the others, just three days into the year?

I think you missed a few of the late posters. I was the last post (posted between 11pm and midnight CST). But a few others late on Dec 31st are also missing from your list. I am assuming an oversight. But if we got the time wrong, can you let us play unofficially? I think Dr. Girlfriend’s entry was the last one added to your list. The subsequent ones are not there.
Mean_Mr.Mustard:
Second place, not bad!
Exactly what I was thinking!

That is 22 points for me. Not enough for first place, but still good.

I appreciate you posting the update while I’m still in third place. I feel it’s inevitable I will drop down in the rankings.
It’s not often I get to update here, but I gots me some points.
UK sitcom star Ian Lavender, who was the last stalwart from elderly WWII sitcom Dad’s Army , has died aged 77.
