Well, after the year that I had Don Rickles and Adam West both, I’ve tried to keep at least one beloved older comedian alive. I thought, since I normally only score on one or two people, I thought she’d stealthily stay alive while I went for more low-hanging fruit like Bob Uecker and Ananda Lewis.
Sports Agent John Sperbeck, age 62, died in a Golf Cart accident.
Sperbeck was standing on the back of a golf cart driving by John Elway and fell off. Elway’s wife was sitting on the passenger side and also standing in the back of cart was MTV Challenge competitor Johnny “Bananas”.
Jim Dent grew up in the caddie yards of Augusta, Georgia, eventually working at the Masters and honing his game at the municipal course known as “The Patch.” He went on to become one of the PGA Tour’s longest hitters and one of the top Black golfers of his generation.

Just last year, Jill Sobule visited the company whose cafeteria I eat lunch at. There were all these banners posted that said “Jill Sobule, Top 40 Artist and [Company name] Customer, will be speaking on March 29.” When I was eating my Friday fish fry in the cafeteria that day, Jill Sobule sat down a few tables from me. Not only that, but she was eating the exact same meal that I was!
