@Baker I think you made a mistake with my score. I think I should still have 21 points and 1 pick. I’m guessing you accidentally gave me points for Brian Wilson because I have Pete Wilson on my list.
The group that is now in a tie for 18th had been part of the tie for 61st before Ananda, if I read things correctly.
Unrelated, but I’d completely forgotten I had her on my list, so I was (pleasantly!) surprised to see my point total suddenly increase. Went back and checked my list, and sure enough, she was on it.
I see that James Whale, 74, has said he’s stopped getting treated for cancer and is “at the end of my cancer journey.” He’s on a fair number of people’s lists here.
I remember him from an outstanding Star Trek DS9 episode “Duet” where he played a Cardassian who may or may not have run a death camp during the war. Probably one of my favorite episodes of TV ever.
Well, she refused conventional treatment and went the homeopathic route. She refused to do what her doctor recommended because she was homeschooling and way too busy to do chemo. I’m finding it hard to have a lot of sympathy for her.
I wasn’t aware of much of that. That info does change my opinion of her. Kind of like the story of the man drowning and asking God for help, who turns down boat after boat thinking God was going to save him. In heaven he meets God and asks him why didn’t you save me? God says I sent you three damn boats!
Turning down scientific medicine for a homeopathic cure seems like that to me.
