Ron DiMenna the founder of Ron Jon Surfshops has died. He successfully expanded selling surfboards out of his trunk into a multistore empire. Along the way he collected drug, weapons and DUI arrests. As a kid we would go to the original location at the beginning of each years vacation to get bathing suits.

I was going to make a joke about him being murdered by his girlfriend after she finally listened to Breakfast in America but that’s more Roger Hodgson (who remains unmurdered).
This is not the conductor I had on my list, but 95 is a good run. He would have been 96 today.
