I love it when a movie turns out good against expectations. I’ll have to check this one out on DVD.
I haven’t read that thread, but I definitely had a bit of pre-judging in my mind as well. I mean, the idea seems silly and nothing in the trailers or commercials has looked good.
Kudos for them for keeping the good stuff in the movie instead of showing it all on TV.
My teenage son and I saw it tonight and really liked it, knowing nothing about the TV show other than that it was a big early role for Johnny Depp. Tell me, what were all of the in-jokes? And did the original series feature the same abandoned Korean church?
Just saw this tonight and I agree with what others have said. Very funny movie. Definitely worth seeing.
