Does upgrading from a Dell 17" LCD monitor to a Dell 22" LCD Monitor require any changes to the operating system (i.e., new drivers or anything)? Currently running Windows 2000 5.00.2195.
Thanks.

I would hope for your sake that you will at a minimum be increasing your screen resolution. That may not require new drivers, but certainly will require changing a setting. If the monitor requires drivers specific to it, they should come with it or be downloadable from Dell.
The monitor will come with “drivers” - more accurately, it’s an information file that tells Windows what the new device’s capabilities are - supported resolutions, color levels, etc. This is very nice to have, but usually not essential.
What might be essential is to update drivers for your video card, or even the video card itself - going from a 17" monitor to a 22" monitor, you may find that the video card can’t handle the new monitor’s resolution. At that size, I’d guess the native resolution is going to be 1600 x 1200. You really don’t want to use any resolution other than that, or the image will be ugly as the monitor will be forced to double-up or skip pixels all throughout the image to mash say, 1024 x 768 into the physical layout of 1600 x 1200 LCD pixels.
