35 Days Till Medicare!

FuckFuckity-fuck, fuck, fuck!

I’m young, godammit!

Yes, I’m 61, but I’m a 39 61 and I am not ready to be written off.

I wish, I really wish that a few of you could spend a day with me and see what I’m up to.

I always have something going, even if it’s just here on the frickin’ keyboard!

It would break my heart if you and I couldn’t communicate anymore just because I’m batshit.

I HATE this Medicare and don’t feel like I deserve it, because I am too young, godammit.

I feel like I’m being dumped into that truck that takes people to make Soylent Green.

And that’s why I will fight to hang onto my functional brain as long as I can.

Sorry for the rant, but who else is there for me?

Thanks

Q

We are all here for you, Quasi! You and I have rarely (if ever?) talked but I always enjoy your posts and feel like I know ya. Medicare is something you need and of course you “deserve” it. But the day after you get it your brain won’t be any different thatn

whoops sorry my son grabbed the computer. …different than the day before!

I’ll take your gov’t provided healthcare if you don’t want it.

But…I thought Tuesday was Soylent Green day.

Quasi, for what it’s worth, I think you would make very fine, succulent Soylent Green. The top shelf stuff you can only get at specialty grocers. They only sell the pure, wholesome stuff, you know.

Not like me. I’ll be at the Family Dollar in the discount bin with the “NO FRILLS” label. Kids will sit down at the dinner table and look at me lumped on their plates and ask if they can just make a sandwich instead. “No”, their Mamas will say. “Don’t you know there are starving people sleeping on the stairs outside?”

My grandma was a hellraising 29-year-old for over 40 years, and nobody wrote her off. I think you’ll do okay

Wait, do you mean Social Security? Medicare doesn’t start until 65. I just qualified for medicare. I’m waaay older than you; four years!

Quasi was awarded SSDI retroactive to two years ago.

There is a 24 month waiting period for Medicare that he’s reaching the end of.

As y’all like to say: this!

I got this big book in the mail which explained what would pay and what wouldn’t etc, etc, but I’m going to let D look at it with me, since I think I’ll be on beaucoups more drugs before this whole little deal ends and she can help me pick out the best drug insurance company.

Thanks

Q

I’m sorry, I’d forgotten that. No offense intended. But you’re still waay younger than me.

None taken, but you already knew that, didn’t you, Hon?

And “way” younger? Nah! You’re a Doper and we stay young forever, picunurse!

Your pal
