3D Transforms in Photoshop Elements

I am using Photoshop Elements 2.0 and trying to use 3D transform. I am walking through the example in the help file and can’t get any results to speak of.

Is there a better explanation of this somewhere than what Adobe provides?

BTW what I am trying to do is take a photo and shrink the left vertical edge, to give the impression that the scene is receding to the left. The 3D transform does not do exactly this but I suspect that I can manipulate the cubic transform to do it, once I can get anything at all to work.

I don’t have V2, but V6 help file finds nothing searching for 3D transform.

In V6 I can use Transform, Skew to shrink the left side of an image, Then I have to use Transform, Distort to bring the right side back vertical.
