University of Idaho issued ‘knife threat’ warning weeks before four students stabbed to death
The warning, described as a ‘Threat with Knife’, reported that a group of students had been walking through the campus when a man threatened them with a knife
The university’s security issued a “Vandal Alert” to students and staff back on 12 September warning them about an assailant armed with a knife.
Now we’re getting somewhere. The students who witnessed this will be able to look at campus cameras and any other camera images to identify that person… Unless it’s the 4 who were murdered.
I’m wondering what the knife wielding person said to the students and what the knife looked like?
An interesting thought. His identity will eventually enter into public domain. If they were calling a drug dealer at that time of night that suggests they were planning on staying up.
I’m not visiting Fox news to see, but how does the sister claim to know this?
If the phone company’s records show that one of the victim’s phones called or texted “Jack”, how does the sister, the cops, or us know the user of the phone was the victim, rather than the killer or an accomplice well post-mortem?
Using the victim’s stuff to leave a misleading trail of timestamped deliberately fake “evidence” is bog standard bad guy stuff. At least according to TV. And I bet a lot of bad guys watch at least some TV.
“Jack” was called by 2 of the slain women at close to the same time so both of them wanted to talk to him. Even if it’s a murder mystery ruse it still connects “jack” to someone with knowledge of him.
It’s been my experience that if you don’t return their text within what they think is a reasonable time, they call. “You weren’t answering your texts!”
An article titled “Teaching Children Compassion” says that, according to FBI profilers, psychiatric professionals, law-enforcement officials and child advocacy organizations, people who hurt animals may eventually direct violence toward humans. Cruelty to animals is considered one of three symptoms that predict the development of a psychopath, and it is included as a criterion for a conduct disorder in children by the American Psychiatric Association.
This is why Oregon has an aggravated animal abuse statute (that may be reported out from otherwise confidential settings).
ORS 609.654 Public or private official reporting of aggravated animal abuse
Notwithstanding ORS 40.225 (Rule 503. Lawyer-client privilege) to 40.295 (Rule 514. Effect on existing privileges), a public or private official who has reasonable cause to believe that an animal with which the official has come in contact has suffered aggravated animal abuse, or that any person with whom the official has come in contact has committed aggravated animal abuse, may immediately report the suspected aggravated animal abuse in the manner prescribed in subsection (2) of this section.
Inside Addition said 2 of the girls got a ride home from an unknown person. Not sure how to take that. Unknown to the girls or unknown as of the time of reporting.
It just means unknown to the media. The police are releasing very little information so there is a massive amount of speculation. I think I read an article where it said the police had cleared this driver, but I don’t remember where.
If you want to see a massive amount of speculation:
I can’t imagine for a second that the families give a crap that it is or is not near Thanksgiving. I assure you, their grief would be the same in any other season.
