403 Forbidden Error Question

I’ve been getting this error message when I try to access a website I visit frequently.

The problem started today.

Has the website blocked my IP address or is it just a problem with the server?

I’m guessing that the only way to tell is to post the actual link and see if anyone else can duplicate it. If the site would embarrass you to reveal it, you may just be SOL getting an answer here.

srzss05 is right that someone else could check it and tell you if they get the same response but there’s no reason to suspect you were specifically blocked. Unless you were up to some shenanigans or there’s another reason to suspect they’d want to single you out.

It’s more commonly used because that file is set to not be accessible.

HTTP 403.6 is a sub status error code indicating that the client IP address was rejected.

The site in question is katyperryforum.com

I get the error too. I’ts not just you.

Probably just server issues then.

Thanks for your help.

Sometimes it helps to go to the main site. No joy in this case but it does provide the more helpful error message, “Site temporarily unavailable”.

steviep24, are you in Thailand?

I’m in upstate NY.

The sites working now. Turns out the administrator messed up some settings.

For future reference, there’s the aptly named site DownForEveryoneOrJustMe.
