50 of the worst things to eat ever .....

http://www.msn.com/en-us/health/nutrition/50-foods-you-should-never-eat/ss-BBodjvN?li=BBnba9O#image=51

ive never been to rodales organic life … but had to read this
So how much of of the science is real and how much is just well bunk for lack of a better term

And how much of it do you eat your self … ?

according to what I eat from the list I’m dead or demented in 5-10 years

“Fast food”, then later, “fast food french fries”? OK, got it in one, thanks.

  1. Too many calories.
  2. Too much fat.
  3. Too many calories.
  4. Too much fat. I see a pattern…
  5. Back to sugar…
  6. Psych! Still too much sugar.

Looks like organic people aren’t supposed to eat this much fat or sugar, which is kind of weird, because they’re both organic.

I make fresh orange juice every morning. I drink the pulp too.

How is that a bit different than eating the orange? Pure juice is good for you. Everybody should have a juicer at home.

They’ll never take away my grilled steaks or my fries.

I like how #46 suggests topping celery with peanut butter and some crumbled bacon, then #50 warns you not to eat bacon. :dubious:

Nightshade’s pretty bad, I hear

[emphasis mine]

:dubious: It’s flipping sodium chloride!

Fuck. OK, now I’m glad I didn’t read it. It’s woo-woo bullshit like this which makes the whole concept of organic utter shit, the naturalistic fallacy writ large.

nightshadea: Assume it’s all bullshit until you hear it from a better source. One that understands basic chemistry and biology, and has peer-reviewed studies.

Didn’t even need to read the list. I’m sure the top 25 are staples of my diet.

I just don’t care. I’m gonna eat (and drink) what I want and die when it’s time. Its quality of life, not quantity. Who the fuck wants to be 80, anyway? Staggerin’ around, wetting yourself…

Melted cheese is one of the Food Groups, isn’t it?

but tis the juice that supposedly has all the sugar

me too but I just wondered about some of the alleged science… and I’m not totally careless but my concerns are more environmental than physical

well my 4 food groups are grease sugar salt and alcoholic … so well put it under grease :stuck_out_tongue:

Just out of curiosity, how many oranges do you have to eat to get the same amount of vitamin C as a four ounce glass of orange juice?

Juicing ONE orange and drinking the pulp is arguably healthy.

Drinking juice by the quart every day is not - too much sugar even with the pulp, and too much of the same thing.

This is total BS.

If you remove all the minerals from raw salt you will have nothing left, because salt itself as a mineral. Also, does this person consider something like Himalayan pink salt “sea salt” or something else? Does the “healthy” include traces of uranium and arsenic and other things generally not considered healthy?

Reminds of a customer at my store who wanted “fresh” salt, and wanted to know the “use by” date because she didn’t want “spoiled” salt. Bwuh?

yeah. lists like this are complete nonsense.

Everyone who’s 79.

Did you point out that tge salt was millions of years old when it was put into containers?

Challenge accepted.

Because salt is composed of sodium and chlorine, two deadly poisons. So, if even one molecule of your salt isn’t properly molecularly bonded, you will DIE!!
