This is pretty neat. Ancient burial stuff found in Southern England near Stonhenge: link.
I went and found the site on Google Earth but the imagery there doesn’t show it very well. The crops are doing too well to show the rings for the most part.
6000 years. It must contain only one man and one woman…And a petrified snake.
Crop circles!
And dinosaurs. Don’t forget the dinosaurs. Or is it “Jesus Horses?”
Seriously, I find this sort of thing enthralling, possibly because I’m well along the way to being an archaeological find myself. One of the strangest feelings I’ve had in recent memory was at the Lucy exhibit in Seattle — the concept that the fossilized remnants before me were once, an astoundingly long time ago, part of a living, breathing being (not quite a “human,” but a giant step along the path), was the closest I’ve come to experiencing genuine awe in a very long time.
Looking forward to what the experts come up with.
And an apple with a bite taken out.
You people think the garden of eden was in England? How’d they get the fig leaves? Tell me that, smarty pants!
(great link, thanks!)
Here, I should imagine.
Harrod’s, of course.
