This past Sunday was 2 weeks. Pack a day for 10 years, to cold turkey. I joined a gym and have been running 2 miles on a treadmill 3 to 4 times a week. I feel great.
Congrats everyone! It’s not easy – I still want a cigarette sometimes. But my “smober” meter now reads…
7 months, 11 hours, 19 minutes and 29 seconds since my last cigarette. I’ve not smoked 4309 cigarettes, saving $721.97, and adding 2 weeks, 23 hours, 5 minutes to my life to spend with Spiny Norman.
I’m at 5 days now. I did quit for new years, but have been having one at night occasionally. Now I’ve got this killer head &chest cold with a sore throat that keeps me from wanting a cigarette.
Two years, eleven months, three weeks, six days, 15 hours, 13 minutes and 31 seconds. 20760 cigarettes not smoked, saving $4,152.01. Life saved: 10 weeks, 2 days, 2 hours, 0 minutes.
2 and a half months (The day after D-Day). I was tempted to quit when all the other members did, but I had just failed prior to that. I usually need to build up a disgust over a couple months to get myself to quit. Other times I “quit” I have had puffs here and there, and maybe even a ful smoke. I still claimed to myself that I quit. Well, now I know better. I think I really might be done this time. Not a puff.
I went on a cruise during the holidays with my family. I had two cigarettes in the first 3 days of the two week long cruise, and I puffed on a cuban cigar on new years. I haven’t smoked since. I used to smoke 5-10 cigarettes a day.
I must say I feel better. All during the cruise I used the gym instead of smoking (after all, I had to do something to fight off the 4000-10,000,000 (;)) calorie a day diet I had with all the free food…)
