Chrissie Hynde. Saw her in concert not long ago and she looks great.
Roger Daltrey?
The first thing I noticed when the WHO were back together for the 9/11 benefit was how BAD Daltrey looked. He was such a great looking guy but now he’s all puffy and bloated. He aged really badly.
My vote goes to Joe Perry. The guy looks better now than he did 25 years ago.
Tom Peterson of Cheap Trick
Another vote for Bowie, Daltrey and Tyler. I think Robert Plant looks better now than he did in the 70s. Elvis Costello, too.
Cher and Pat Benatar.
Another vote for Bowie
When KISS reunited I was surprised to see that Peter Criss was the one who held up the best, since he’s the oldest and had the worst drug problems over the years.
It looks like Bill Ward is the only one of the original Black Sabbath who is aging at all.
Joe Perry.
yum.
Another vote for Steven Tyler.
Gotta disagree. I saw him live with the Who last July. We had front row seats, with Roger less than 10 feet from us. He looked and sounded better than he had in the last 15 years.
My 14 year-old daughter was with me and was amazed that he looked much the same as he did in old Who"s Next videos she’s seen.
Of course standing next to Pete might account for some of his youthful appearance.
I think Clapton has aged pretty well. Towards the end of Cream he was starting to look a bit haggard and not long for this world. Glad he cleaned up his act!
Michael Nesmith has also aged nicely.
I saw Roger Waters in concert a couple years ago, and he looks great. He looks like Richard Gere, but hotter.
Hmm…surely I’m not the only 19 year old on the planet who finds Roger Waters yummy. Or maybe so.
Tom Petty…definately drools
Sting didn’t hit until the 80’s, right?
Any girl who finds Waters hot is cool in my book.
Steven Tyler and Joe Perry. My, my, my.
1979, so he counts. If you think he still looks good, that is…
Okay, I’m going to go out on a limb here.
Last week, there was a picture of Yoko Ono in the paper and I, along with a couple of other guys at work, agreed she was looking pretty good for a woman in her 70’s.
He’s probably not a rock star, but I always thought Bobby Sherman was handsome.
Shouldn’t we set up some boundaries? A problem with the list, as it now stands, is that one could throw in anyone that was somewhat active during the 1970’s AT ANY AGE! This results in us comparing the aging process of, say, Tina Turner (Born 1939) to Joan Jett (Born either 1958 or 1960; she seems to have claimed different years at different times.) I propose, therefore, that we limit candidates to people born before 1950 (albeit, that still contains most of these people)
As for Peter Criss, there’s a decent explination why he’s aged better than his bandmates. He had a lot of rest in the 1980’s, while the others were still actively touring.
Annie Wilson has gained xxx pounds and is still a babe. I’d crawl across a field of barbed wire to hear her burp into a tuba.
