7 New MPT Devices Insalled on my PC ?????

Windows Explorer (XP) tell me I have 7 MPT Devices installed on my PC.
Can’t be accessed, deleted, expanded, removed, run, or any thing else.

What are they?
Where from or how did the get on my PC?

It appears to be a new spyware program. Most startup archives have not identified it yet; the only one with any information is conspicuous by the completeness of it description. Software Stronghold, manufacturers of True Sword antispyware software, describes it thusly

Sounds good, except that True Sword is listed as a Rogue spyware program, which uses false positives to goad you into buying their $40 program. In all likelyhood, it will end up causing more damage than it solves.

It will probably show up in the legitimate antispyware scanners soon. Unless you installed True Sword already, I cannot guess where it came from.

Thanks, Fear. Sounds like a good place to start.

End game.
Did a “Restore” to a time prior to all the crap showing up.
Voila! it was gone.
