70s Chicago (Terry Kath Era) - Are You a Fan?

“It doesn’t even” implies that there are other things wrong with it. It’s a bad lyric overall.

I remember watching Dick Clark that New Year’s Eve specifically to see Chicago. I had to convince the adults to switch the TV away from Guy Lombardo. I had to block out the sound of one oldster complaining about “These kids these days and their music - what do they have to complain about?” They got back to Guy Lombardo when the ball dropped.

“Beginnings” is one of the greatest rock songs ever. Everything came together. (Well, for the first five minutes: I always fade out before the two minutes of conga at the end.) There may be no better blend of horns and guitars. When a group starts with that why listen to their treacle, no matter how many albums it sold?

Haha, yeah, I do the same. I mean, 2 minutes of that shit? C’mon… Or the live beginnings intros on piano.

Anyway, here’s Terry’s last show.

Terry’s Last Show 12-1-1977

There’s a lot of Cetera and Lamm interviews on that channel, so I won’t post any more videos.
