i have to admit that i don’t know for sure that other countries have toll-free numbers, though i would think they do (and am confident they do after reading some of the replies). i do know that they aren’t 1-800, 888, etc because the 1 is the country code specific to the us (or perhaps including some parts of north america/principalities etc).
