When they were putting new area codes in the Toronto area, I was hoping we’d get area code 234. Then I would have tried my damndest to get the number 1-234-567-8901.

Damn! I opened this thread JUST to ask why Morris Day can’t get some respect! 
I was in third grade when 867-5309 started hitting the airwaves. In our area (Fort Bragg, NC), that was the phone number of a grade school (our home phone at the time was 867-4622). I wonder how long it took before they changed it.
