As we all go on with our lives post 9/11, many are taking time today to remember those lost those two short years ago. Offices are pausing to remember, classes are having moments of silence.
I am sure many dopers are in a position like me, where your job does not allow you a structured time to remember. Since community is such a strong part of the healing process, I have started this thread.
This link:
http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2001/memorial/lists/by-name/index.html
has a list of those who perished in the North and South Towers of the Trade Center, those who died in the 4 planes and those who died in the Pentagon.
Please note the name posted LAST in this thread, then go to the site above and find the next name on the list and create a reply with only the person’s name. Spend a minute in prayer, reflection or sending of good vibes over the memory of this person and for healing for the families left behind.
The replies should form a list of the victims in alphabetical order, with some duplicates to be expected. (I don’t think a double dose of prayer will hurt anyone)
God bless all those touched by the events of 9/11/01. Hopefully as we remember we will heal a bit more, and peace will be closer.
