You don’t believe conspiracies, so do you believe everything the government tells you?
Well no.
I just don’t believe a government orchestrated the deaths of 3000 of its own citizens in some clandestine plot to start a war it could’ve started by any other duplicitous means (see, Iraq) while devastating the economy in the process.
The Popular Mechanics / Loose Change debate (should call the latter Loose Screws) showed just what kind of people you’re dealing with who support the conspiracy cause. They crumbled worse than the towers they claim were detonated…
Shrill, illogical, petulent rubes they showed themselves to be.
Well, that’s how you’d do it if you wanted to. I think Ivan’s idea is that the Obama administration wouldn’t want to expose it if they did find it.
To which the answer is, OF COURSE he’d have it announced publicly. If he found out that his predecessors were responsible for the murder of 3000 fellow Americans, anyone would have to be a monster to let the perpetrators go free. I don’t think Obama is perfect, but he’s no monster.
It is kind of disturbing what it says about Ivan, that he projects this onto Obama, leading me to believe Ivan would cover it up.
Well, you know, if Cheney and other top Republicans were involved in planning 9-11 (Leaving Bush out because he’s obviously a patsy)…then it seems to me that Obama could use this information to get the Republicans to roll over on everything.
Instead of Republicans fighting tooth and nail against everything Obama does, they’d be showing strange new respect for the man.
And once we go down this path, we have to ask ourselves what exactly was the plan of the Illuminati. What did they expect this attack to accomplish? To allow us to invade Afghanistan? Seriously? That was the plan?
It doesn’t make any sense. If the real goal was Iraq, well, 9-11 was a pretty piss-poor attempt to frame Iraq, wasn’t it? Why’d they frame Osama bin Ladin and the Taliban? Why not the Saudis, or the Iranians, or Saddam, or somebody, anybody who had oil? Why frame a desperately poor country with no natural resources to exploit once we’ve conquered it?
That’s my main beef with these theories. They start from the premise that 9-11 must have been done by the Illuminati for some reason. But if the Illuminati who control the country pulled it off, then the question is, what the fuck FOR? Impose a police state? How’s that working out for them? And anyway, the Illuminati don’t need an overt police state because they can manipulate all of us from behind the scenes anyway. Invade Afghanistan? For what reason? It’s a worthless desert. To destroy Building 7? Why not just pull moving trucks up to Building 7 and cart whatever it is that needed to be destroyed away?
If we start with the premise that it was an inside job, then nothing about the operation makes sense, because if it was an inside job the inside jobbers conducted an incredibly sub-optimal job. Unless they were just nuts who hated America. Hmmm…
It’s the standard CT’er nonsense about Genius Fools.
They have to be fiendishly clever and orchestrated a massive conspiracy with thousands, if not tens of thousands of members who orchestrated the greatest single criminal action in America’s history and have had not one single leak, ever.
Yet at the same time, their actions make no fucking sense pragmatically, are overly complex to the point of being some baroque Rube Goldberg style plan and serve no conceivable purposes or agendas.
And don’t forget the cash payouts to all the experts, writers, publishers, and message board advocates of the ‘Official Theory’ in order to keep up the pressure on the truth movement crusaders and paint them all as clueless whack jobs, nutters or ignorant rubes…
