Yes, all stellar examples of the American right’s inability to tell right from wrong (you forgot Bush’s use of torture), and all reasons why I wouldn’t take their claims as to who does and does not have the moral authority to do something seriously. That an American right-winger thinks not submitting to the US’s whims is grounds for invasion disgusts me, but it doesn’t surprise me.

What is lower than rendition?
Countries that harbor terrorists are enemies. Since Oklahoma City was done by Americans we should attack ourselves. Or, we could understand there are weirdos and malcontents in every country and they do not define it.

From what I read of his wikipedia entry, I place a low probability value on the hypothesis that his piece was intended ironically.

I’m not sure a devout follower of Ayn Rand can use irony - it’d be a form of lying, a concept they find inconceivable, unless you’re a girl lying about how the boy who took your virginity slapped you in the mouth - that memory is simply too precious to share or cheapen by explaining the circumstances to others who won’t understand the deep objectivist significance of it.
