9/11: Watching TV? Going To Movies? Renting A Video?

My plan:

Minute of silence when the planes hit. I actually go to school about 3 blocks from the site so I may actually cut a class or two to watch the procession. After school, I think all the kids are going to take candles out to the park b my school. I’m pretty sure all NYC parks will have candlelight memorials at dusk that day. It should be very nice.

I liken it to picking at a scab. I’ll light a candle in remembrance of the victims, but it’s still to upsetting to have it “in-your-face” all day long…again.

We’ve plans to catch a baseball game that night if they’re still playing. Those moments of silence with a crowd can be pretty moving.

9/11 here will still be 9/10 across the lake, so we’ll probably be in for two days of it. At least I can warn you what to expect.

I’ll watch a bit of it, but I think I’ll do what I did on the day itself and seek comfort in the SDMB.

I’ll be at Andrews AFB, suffering from hypoxia and motion sickness at the altitude chamber. Remarkably enough, that’s similar to what I was feeling last year on that date.

I’m sure I will think about it, but I will not watch any TV shows about it. I saw enough when it happened.

I’m having bad dreams already, the Dr. who put me up that night in his home, after working the attack all day has called me and wants to meet with me.

I may very likely spend it alone at home, thinking and trying not to turn on the t.v.

Cartooniverse

I’ll be at school, and I’m sure there will be some sort of ceremony or something.

I know that after school, there is a musical ceremony on the football field. I don’t think I’ll go.
