Why would the US government do such a thing ?
Why would there not be a plane for the Pentagon when planes crashed on the WTC ? If it wasn’t a plane and the FBI got hold of the tapes for nefarious purposes and were “in the know”, don’t you think they’d immedietaly release bogus footage showing a plane ? Why would they let any space for doubt if the point was to deceive ?
Why would the FBI, and the CIA, and the government be so goddamn superefficient here, when they’re so magnificently incompetent the rest of the time ? Oh yeah, there were lots of WMDs. We’ll have Bin Laden by the end of the month. The post-war was handled superbly well. And really, they didn’t look like fools at all for overlooking memos entitled “Osama Ben Laden is RIGHT BEHIND YOU”.

For the purpose of said conspiracy, you fire a missile, or a drone at the Pentagon. Or blow it up from the inside, the specifics don’t matter. You then, somehow, strewn the building and the lawn with aircraft debris to make it look like a plane crashed there, without anyone, y’know, noticing. Then you conspicuously seize all the tapes along the flight path of the inexistent plane to cover your ass. Now, if you’re a shadow mastermind organisation… don’t you have the means to edit the footage from the security cams to show a plane ? Wouldn’t releasing said edited footage be further proof, and silence the disbelievers, those oh so smart CT guys who saw right through the debris, and the destruction ? I mean, I’m a dumbass, and that’s the first thing I’d have done. I assume an evil mastermind would have done the same.
Yet they didn’t. They immediately arrived at each location in black sedans, got the footage, then “disappeared” it, leaving you free to say “hey, man in black ! The tapes didn’t show a plane, did they ? I know they goddamn didn’t ! I see through the liiiies !”. How does that make sense ? And while we’re at it, if they “suicide” or “disappear” would be whistleblowers who are “in the know” but might talk… why don’t they kill you ?
