Requesting a moment of silence does not equal starting a rant.
On Friday there was a Fire Service memorial service at the building next door – the firefighters donned full gear and went up the 28 storey building and there was a bagpiper.
Sympathies for those touched by this.
Seriously. A bagpiper? Those poor souls.
My opinion is that the best way to remember 9/11 is to remember the one good thing that came out of it - the sense of community that followed it. For one day let’s think about the things that unite us rather than the things that divide us.
It is now nearly 60 hours since the moment of silence has passed and this thread has more sniping and bickering that respect.
