I’m getting more and more tickled by this 99% crowd. The more I see these people on TV, the web, the more I am amused. They attempt to imply a massive movement—99%—with people who are unhappy with…with…with…SOMETHING. They all got there little “horrors”. Well, if the net is going to be cast so wide, shouldn’t it be 100? I’m sure every single American is unhappy with some aspect of the government or our financial institutions, so I say the 99% set their sights to an even more demanding mandate for action—The 100!
Hey, hey
ho, ho
we all got something that’s got to go!
For me, it’s the people in the administration who were involved in the half-billion dollar Solyndra debacle.
I’m laughing my ass off. At them and those who defend this as a Tea Party like movement. Look at pictures of a Tea Party rally and look at pictures of these whiners—night and day. If you bother to look, the ones the look dirty and disgusting, with one guy defecating on a cop car…those are the “99%ers”, a.k.a, The Whiners.
Of particular humor was when the city of SF came in in the middle of the night and just cleaned all their shit out. Then when they went to block a truck with their bodies—idiot Rachel Cory style—the truck…wait for it…turned down another street.
Comedy gold. Comedy fucking gold, I tellya. Know what I mean, Banyon?
Conservatives should be worried that what they’re seeing now is the left wing equivalent of what the Tea Party was in 2009. Like the early Tea Party, right now it’s just a mass of people who are unhappy about the direction the government is moving in. But if it gets organized like the Tea Party did, it will become politically powerful.
Only if they set their sights higher. 100%, man. Now THAT"S a mandate!
And these douches resemble the Tea Partiers not a wit. Just look at how filthy they are. Look how unorganized. Everyone’d got their own friggin thing to bitch about. The only common denominator for the “solidarity” () is that their a bunch of whiners wanted things handed to them. “I have school debt—save me—I am the 99%.” “I can’t afford my mortgage—save me—I am the 99%” “I’m a shitty artist who doesn’t make $100,000 a year—save me—I am the 99%.”
I’m pretty sure all of the Occupy events have nightly general assemblies where anyone who shows up can get two minutes to speak or something. Then they can discuss your proposal and decide whether to adopt it by consensus. You could also hook up with one of the working groups to come up with a specific proposal. Somehow, I doubt that your plan to expand the protests to include the top 1% and bitch about a government loan that went bad will gain much support, but I can dig up some material on the whole process that they’re using if you’d like.
I hope you are still laughing when the bread riots break out and the bankers are being strung up from light poles. A little reading of history will show you exactly how close the world is to melting down, as the rich finally get what the people think is coming to them.
99% refers to their belief that the top 1% wealthiest people in the country are making life shit for the other 99%. That’s the point, not that 99% of people in the nation are protesting. Glad I could help you out with that.
Oh, so not all of the 99% are in “the 99%”. So , it’s not a movement by 99% for the people. Probably not even 90, or 50, or 15. or 5%. Just a bunch of whiners raging against “the man”. Oh, but now that I see that I can be part of this noble mob by whining about my own debt, hey why not. Except, too late. I’m already involved with a more honest group: We are the 100%!
Let’s cut to the chase: Do you think “The Man” (ie. the Fed, the government, the ratings agencies, Goldman Sachs etc…) actually did anything wrong, either ethically or legally?
How many times did you hear the Bushiviks tell us that there was nothing to worry about, the housing market is going through the roof and everybody is making tons of free money!
Well, I’d rather hang out with “filthy” people who care about their fellow human beings’ quality of life than well-dressed hateful fucking scumbags who want to deny people the right to marry based on sexual preference.
