99? Rookies! I say 100%!!!

You’re in fantasy land. Obama had massive approval ratings soon after the election. Numbers that, by necessity, included some republicans. Now, he’s even lost support among many blacks. But in your book that means they’re just a bunch of self-hating Uncle Toms, right?

Plus, look at my man, Herman Cain. Soaring in the polls. Right now, he’s the one I hope gets the nomination. Maybe he’ll choose Rubio and I can sit back and laugh some more as your and other nitwit liberals’ heads explode.

Approval? I never suggested any approval.

Empty argument, that. Most presidents get pretty unpopular shortly after warming up the big comfy chair. Obamalama ain’t done yet.

You miss the point. His approval rating were extremely HIGH after he took office. they’re low now. The highs indicate that it wasn’t just liberals who liked him. and the lows now show that it’s more than just republicans that don’t.

Pretty high, but “extremely” seems a bit of a stretch. Considering what he replaced it’s no surprise he and Ford shared high initial numbers. And they’re certainly not lower now than any other president since Harry T. Dude had a honeymoon period which ended about the time he clued in that there was more to the job than he’d thought. I’m not overly-vested in his particular flavor of Flav-R-Aid, but I’m also not convinced he’s a failure.

Sorry for the derail, I’m being a pedantic troll and should probably bow out of this one.

I would like to be part of the 1%… being that wealthy and powerful would be nice.

Screw you poor-ass 99%ers. And the 100%ers have too many poor people for my tastes.

Besides pissing off liberals, who are not actually your enemy, what do you hope to accomplish by beating Obama in the next election? Obama has been a fairly Republican president. Even his big scary socialist health care plan is modeled on a Republican plan.

His health care insurance plan was a huge win for insurance companies, and I guarantee that if republicans sweep both branches of government in 2012, they will not repeal it. The insurance companies love this legislation and they will make sure the republicans don’t screw up a good thing for them.

Obama has been more than just “fairly” a Republican president. He’s been a damn strong one.

I love this pic of the “Occupiers”. The combo of slogans is perfect.

It will be gone, gone, gone. One reason is that mandate that the whole thing is built upon is unconstitutional AND a really, really bad idea.

Just as soon as President Cain is sworn in!

How so?

Founding Fathers did not have health insurance, since mud and leeches were freely available.

What’s funny is that the unconstitutional argument is based on the requirement for citizens to have contracts with private businesses, thus opening the door for the need for single-payer, government run health insurance. Which is what us Liberals have wanted all along!

The insurance companies who bankroll republican candidates will do their absolute best to make sure that it stays in place, and the republicans will line up behind them rank-and-file. You are deluding yourself if you think otherwise. Insurance companies are POWERFUL lobbyists, if not THE most powerful. The republicans do not want to anger this nearly bottomless well of campaign cash.

I don’t even necessarily disagree with you that it’s unconstitutional, it may very well be…

But it’s already in the courts. The constitutionality will be going to the Supremes. I think they’ve been petitioned already as a few lower courts have ruled on it, though not consistently.

Yeah that’s true, I agree that it has a good chance of being overturned before 2012 elections. I’m just saying that if it actually is upheld, the republicans will not repeal it.

Ok. I sure didn’t see anything that suggested disapproval either, but perhaps you simply meant a neutral state of fact, neither approving or disapproving.

The government cannot compel citizens to buy a product. It amounts to a tax—“but it’s not a tax” on breathing. We should be very afraid of the notion that it’s okay for them to do so. It will establish a new method of extracting money from the populace. If it is allowed, how much would you like to bet that other things get mandated down the road?

The government can, however, supply free healthcare and have it paid for through taxes. But this mandate is pure shennnigans.

As far as you know.
