_______ reached the pinnacle when....

-AC/DC reached their pinnacle when they released T.N.T.
-Bruce Willis reached his pinnacle with Die Hard.
-Many people think Chevy Chase reached his pinnacle with Caddyshack, but it was really National Lampoon’s European Vacation.
-Every actor on Cheers reached their pinnacle while on the show.
-Stephen King reached his pinnacle with The Stand, but the Dark Tower series may outdo it depending on how it wraps up.
-Eddie Murphy reached his pinnacle with Mr. Robinson’s Neighborhood on SNL. Everything else has been a slow decline.

Chevy Chase reached it with Saturday Night Live.

Michael J. Fox - Back To The Future movies.

Robin Williams reached his pinnacle with Aladdin. Or maybe Hook.

Rod Stewart reached his pinnacle with Maggie May. He’s done really good stuff since then, but none quite up to that.

Disagree about Stephen King. Loved, loved, loved The Stand, but think The Green Mile is as good in its own way.

Metallica- The Black album. Everything released after this has not measured up to what they had put out beforehand.

Aerosmith reached their pinnacle with Pump

Spielberg may have reached his pinnacle with Schindler’s List.

The Star Trek shows reached their pinnacle in TNG.

Seinfeld, the series, reached its pinnacle when George’s fiance, Susan, died from licking envelopes.

R.E.M. reached their pinnacle with Automatic for the People.

Alice Munro reached her pinnacle with her short story collection/pseudo-novel Who Do You Think You Are?

Kevin Spacey appears to have peaked with American Beauty, though I am holding out hope for the upcoming The Life of David Gale.

Leonardo Da Vinci topped out with Mona Lisa.

Oh I don’t think that’s true for Cheers- Woody Harrelson has gotten a lot of good movie roles, and Kelsey Grammer still has the equally popular “Frasier.”

Personally I think the Simpsons reached its pinnacle with “Natural Born Kissers.” From then on, it was hit and miss- some good, some bad. But never great.

I disagree about Star Trek reaching its pinnace with The Next Generation. I personally believe Deep Space Nine to be the superior show in terms of dynamic characters and storylines.

TNG was just too utopian and perfect. You need some conflict.

And I think R.E. reached their pinnacle with “Fables of the Reconstruction.”

That should say R.E.M., dammit.

I think Aerosmith peaked with Toys in the Attic.

The Old 97s peaked with Too Far to Care sniff

Nirvana reached their pinnacle with “Nevermind”
The NHL reached it’s pinnacle in 1993.
Johnny Cash reached his pinnacle with “Ring of Fire”
Kurt Busiek reached his pinnacle with “Marvels”
Christopher Lambert is still working on it.

Hillary reached his pinnacle with Everest.
The Stones reached their pinnacle with Some Girls.
Rush reached their pinnacle with Moving Pictures.
VanHalen reached their pinnacle with Diver Down.

How the…wha…you…

I was going to say that!

Of course, “reaching the pinnacle” is the step just before “jumping the shark.”

Please tell me that’s a joke…

You didn’t like 48 Hours?

Steve Martin’s pinnacle: “Excuuuuuse Meeeeee”

Mel Brooks reached his pinnacle with Blazing Saddles.

Soundgarden reached their pinnacle with Superunknown.

Cadillac reached its pinnacle with the '59 DeVille convertible.

Canada reached its pinnacle with Strange Brew

The US reached our pinnacle with the 2000 presidential election - it’s definitely all downhill from here.

Bill Clinton reached his pinnacle with. . . well, you all know who he reached it with.
