A 90-MINUTE "Will & Grace?!"

The whole thing was too long, but it was all worth it for Harry Connick Jr.'s line: Will and Grace are fighting, Leo steps in and says “Hey, we need him around for the 20% of you I can’t handle.” Yep. Pretty much sums up every relationship I’ve ever had…

By the way, anyone notice how much Debra Messing looks like 1950s supermodel Suzy Parker?

What happened on Will & Grace? I saw up unitil Grace ran out of the reception beause she realized she didn’t know Harry Connick at all. But then what happened? I need to know.

What food did Will prepare for their picnic in the park? I can’t remember it for the life of me!

What happened? Are they married?

Grace comes back in, decides she wants to be married to “Marvin” after all. Later, they run into Katie Couric again, who tells them that the judge who officiated the mass wedding didn’t have the proper credentials to perform weddings. So they decide to have a real wedding. Will organizes it. Minutes before the wedding, Grace’s dad throws out his back and can’t walk her down the aisle. Emotional conversation ensues after Will turns down Grace’s request that he walk her down the aisle. Reaffirmation of friendship occurs. Will walks her down the aisle, and everyone lives happily ever after.

I wasn’t paying full attention by the end, so if I’m wrong, will someone correct me?

AudreyK pretty much got it on the head of the nail. It was, as suspected, the nice touchy feely ending.

Now if anyone knows about that picnic food…

Nope AudreyK, you nailed it.

And, yes, they are married. We didn’t see the “do you take…” or the “I now pronounce…”, but we do see the group after the fact and everything seems to have gone well.

Yup, they are in fact married. And Will prepared a tapas picnic.

h.sapiens thanks for the info!

Maybe it’s just me but I thought they did a HORRIBLE job with this episode. It was about 10% as funny as a typical W&G episode, it was increadibly rushed and the whole thing had this surreal feeling, and not in a good way.

They made it out to seem like Will first planned this reception in like, a day, then upon finding out the marriage was null and void planned this bigger, elaborate wedding in like, another day. The whole thing just seemed really really rushed and I found myself apologizing to my b/f for making him sit through it.

You are exactly right. This episode sucked–not just the plot but the script was just horrendous–the studio audience wasn’t even laughing. New/different writers, perhaps?

On a somewhat related note, I skipped out of work early this afternoon and found, to my horror, a Ted McGinley episode of Happy Days on the air, which, for some reason, involved Fonzie in a rabbit suit. My head still hurts from the 20 seconds or so that I watched.
