A big middle finger to the people who took advantage to politicize the school shooting

Let me guess- your parents want a refund of school taxes they have paid and they’re going to use this thread of evidence of your failed education. When children are slaughtered in our schools, it is the perfect time to be talking about gun control. Other than having a Russian puppet in charge of the US military, it is the biggest threat to our lives in the US.

You said you were going to stay off the internet and away from social and political topics. You said you were going to take interest in other subjects and read more. You said you would put more thought into topics and ideas instead of posting nonsensical streams of consciousness.

You said those things. Remember?

But you’ve done instead is behave like a knee jerk reactionary, repeating hysterical pro-gun and vapid religious-right talking points.

Being a man of your word is one of the most important attributes of masculinity. You don’t get credit just for saying you want it. Embrace and practice that which you claim you want to be.

This is a really strange point. Talking about school shootings causes school shootings?? Well, before Columbine, there wasn’t any discussion. Not much afterward either (when the shock wore off). And yet they’ve been happening more often, not less often.

I think it’s true that the enormous publicity around a school shooting triggers copycats to come forward and make threats, but people’s awareness is so heightened right after a school shooting, that the copycats are (as far as we know) nipped in the bud.

If you’d rather we not talk about school shootings or gun control at all, what is your solution to the increasing number of school shootings? Ignore them? Surely not. Ok, Mr. Smartie, step up and give us YOUR answer.

Or is it that you are scared of one at your school, you feel helpless and angry (rightly so!) and you just decided to mouth off because you wanted reassurance from the grownups? Sorry, but we don’t have the answers either.

We ran your report. It says you’re 52 and bankrupt.

Jeez, people. The kid needs his safe space!

That wasn’t the bad part. Look at the bottom. It has his occupation; cannon fodder.

I’m familiar with the board from whence he came. It’s a good place, very friendly. It should do.

Good. The “thoughts and prayers (but no action)” line is finally being generally recognized as a scam on a level with “I am an exiled prince form Nigeria”.

Prayers? To God? Trump put his hand on the Bible, and it didn’t burst into flames. So, case closed…

I doubt Ryan prayed for anything, he was too distraught over not being able to kick those 17 kids off Medicare or caid or whatever it’s called.

The hand was too small to create heat.

I don’t believe for a minute that you really believe any of that. And I don’t believe that it’s any accident that you decided to post it here. You knew what buttons you were pushing when you typed out all of that hogwash.

Here’s the bit you left out–the ones pushing the gun control discussion hardest are the kids who just survived the murder of their friends, family, and classmates.

You are the one who’s taking advantage of them. All so that you can troll a message board.

I see your middle finger. I raise you one cactus.

Wait, the agendas are [DEL]calling[/DEL] coming from inside the [DEL]house[/DEL] gastrointestinal thingy!!!

Prayers won’t work, anyway
Because

I haven’t posted this link in a while. It’s time.

@ Luciano700 — would you explain this please? Who is “they”? Was it Cruz’ goal to cause “destruction to our political and cultural climate” ?

And what’s an appropriate length of time to wait after a massacre before discussing guns? If we’d waited 17 days after the Las Vegas Strip massacre it would have been too late: there was another mass shooting by then in Maryland, and another two weeks later near Denver. The Texas First Baptist Church massacre killed 26 and was barely a month after the Las Vegas Strip massacre. And just nine days after that was the Rancho Tehama massacre.

OTOH … Muzzle the pro-gun idiots after a massacre? Or muzzle Trump any day he breathes oxygen? Those are ideas I could get behind.

“To this God replied, ‘I sent you a rowboat and a motorboat and a helicopter, what more did you expect?’”

Maybe he meant BRONY points

Thoughts and prayers to you, Luciano700, and every single person like you in your shit hole country, for as long as you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem. Blood is on your hands, Luciano700.

Prayers do actual jack and shit in this situation. They don’t raise the dead or restore the maimed. I have no problem with people grieving and expressing sympathy, but saying “I’ll pray” means “I’ll do nothing of real value”.

People are “bitching” about gun control because children are being slaughtered in schools. People are “bitching” about gun control because people at concerts are being slaughtered. People are “bitching” about gun control because they don’t want to die in a rain of bullets.

If actual, real, effective controls were put on gun ownership then people who don’t want to die will stop “taking advantage”. The problem is that we’ve been doing it your way for decades and if anything the situation is getting worse with mass shootings more and more common and the death and injury tolls going up. Your way isn’t working. It’s time to try something different.

You’ve watched Emma Gonzalez’s speech, right?

If not, here it is.

Now, WHO is politicizing this tragedy???
