It’s MAy, at hot outside, so it took me a while to think of this… but Francis Church wrote the famous editorial “Yes, Virginia, there IS a Santa Claus.”
In a piece of VERY odd casting, Charles BRONSON played Mr. CHurch in a TV movie once!

I’m a bit pissed off that I didn’t get this. I knew the name sounded familiar (was going to guess that Francis Church was the real name of Francis Scott Key, but that didn’t “sound” right, and besides, the post said it was a response).
I’m certainly familiar with the “Yes, Virginia” editorial. It’s truly one of the most touching things ever written!
