I’m looking for answers from physicians here – and if there are any plastic surgeons around, that would be awesome.
Between 2014 and 2015, I lost 50 pounds. I have a figure again!
However, reality intrudes. I’m short-waisted and also do not have a defined waist. It’s difficult to find standard clothing that fits well.
Being overweight is bad; being totally out of proportion makes it suck doubly hard, since most clothing is cut on the theory that women have a 6-10" difference between their hips and waist. I do not. So I buy the size that fits my waist, and alter the clothes or have them altered.
My waist-to-hip ratio will not change if I lose more weight. I have the same body type as my grandmother and great-grandmother, both short-waisted and thick-waisted ladies.
For exercise buffs, are there any exercises that will help? I know you can’t spot-reduce via exercise, but maybe something to help nip things in?
Here is my question for anyone with plastic surgery knowledge: have you heard of lipo or another process used to help out the waist-to-hip ratio? I have some bonus money coming my way early next year, and if this is do-able, I would like to do it.
Please share your thoughts, minds of the Dope.
