I posted about A Bucket of Blood several years ago. Great film!
TCM is showing 72 hours of ‘horror’ movies, and this fine film is just starting now. Sweet! I have the DVD, but it’s nice to see it broadcast.

‘Life is an obscure hobo hitching a ride on the omnibus of Art.’
‘I refuse to say anything twice. Repetition is death.’
‘Be a nose. Be a nose!’
Frankie the Stiff Cat! (‘Repetition is death, Frankie.’)
‘How come you put a knife into it?’
‘I didn’t mean to.’
‘Walter, you’ve done something to me. Something deep down inside of my Pranah.’
‘Wasn’t that nice of Naolia to give me that expensive “horse”?’
‘Walter, do I have to point this at you?’
God, I love this film. It’s available on YouTube and Hulu, BTW.
the remake from a few years back sort of sucked though.
I love halloween horror film fests =) it just sucks ass that this year I have struggling with an upper respiratory infection for the past week and am not able to stay up and watch movies at all hours =( i tend to drift off to sleep after about an hour =(
Dick Miller really should have some Academy recognition.
Except for the very end, the original is perfect. I haven’t seen the remake.
Feel better.
Thanks =)
The remake they discover the bodies inside the statues because they get oozy. And the guy isn’t just mentally slow and feckless, they played him differently.
It is sort of the difference between the original Little Shop of Horrors and the remake musical Little Shop of Horrors.
Actually, I noted that they were both very similar movies, a somewhat slow schlub working in a marginal job that has something rather odd happen to him and he sort of loses control of the situation,.
Good lord, are we talking about the 1959 film? I’m chagrined to say that I saw this movie when it came out back then. Pretty campy stuff, even for a 12-year old.
